About
The Water Rights in Nevada Class will be presented by Michael D. Buschelman, P.L.S., W.R.S., and Hugh Ricci, P.E.
This course will provide:
* A detailed explanation of NRS (Nevada Revised Statutes) under title 48-Water.
* Knowledge about water rights issues as they relate to the purchasing and selling of real estate in Nevada.
* A review of regulations established for water resource administration in Nevada.
* Information on court cases, which have initiated water law.

Michael D. Buschelman, P.L.S., WRS, is President of Michael D. Buschelman Consulting Inc. He was with Summit Engineering of Reno, Elko, and Las Vegas for 13 and a half years, and was the Chief Water Rights and Water Planning Specialist, as well as the Manager of the Water Rights Department. He has continuously worked in the area of water rights in Nevada since 1975, after graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno. He has instructed in the area of water rights for 27 years and is a Registered Land Surveyor and Nevada Water Rights Surveyor.
Hugh Ricci, P.E., Nevada State Engineer, Retired 2006. Prior to being appointed as the Nevada State Engineer in 2000, Hugh served as the Deputy State Engineer for approximately 10 years. Mr. Ricci has over 25 years experience in the field of water resources and water rights with the Division of Water Resources and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Nevada.
