2014 Annual Conference Wrap Up
Lifetime Achievement Award Winner
In recognition of a career exceeding forty years with the U. S. Geological Survey in Oregon, Washington, and mostly in Nevada. Your prior academic achievements at Stanford University in geology and geochemistry prepared you well to contribute important knowledge of Nevada’s Great Basin hydrology. As the author of several Water Resources Reconnaissance Series Reports during the 1960’s and 1970’s, you provided important hydrologic baseline data, analyses, and interpretations. Also, your study of mercury contamination of the Carson River and geochemical interpretations of military-ordinance pollution in the Hawthorne area are most noteworthy. In addition to your investigative work, you also served as Nevada District “Reports Specialist”. All reports had to comply with your high writing standards to merit publication.
